Laser Cutting Safety
When deciding to use a laser cutter within your business it is important that you do it safely. Here are some times for staying safe with. laser cutting.
Wear PPE
When operating the laser cutting machine it is important that you wear PPE. The PPE you should be wearing includes; safety goggles, gloves and hearing protection.
Removing Material
You should not remove any material from the laser cutting machine whilst it is still at work. This could cause serious injury. You should also wait until the material is completely cool before removing. to prevent injuries.
Cleaning Up
It is extremely important that the laser cutting area is clean. You should always clean up before and after using the machine. Any debris and flammable material should be cleaned up and away from the machine.
Fire Extinguisher
Always ensure that you keep the right and fully working fire extinguisher near by. This will help you to keep control of any fires which may occur. But remember to only fight a fire if you are confident to do so.
