Are Workers Truly Coping?

Previously on our blog, we discussed how the working world was changing in July for workers. So, are our workers truly coping with this change?

The truth is, when you are looking in from the outside, it may seem as if workers are under control and coping well with the changes in restrictions. But this is the case at any point, including the mad festive period. Workers always seem to be coping with the workload.

But the truth is, some workers will not be coping well. Some workers will be struggling, and some businesses will still be struggling. Even though restrictions have been eased, some businesses are still struggling to gain customers, they are struggling to gain sales. Some businesses are struggling to find workers who will be willing to work long hours to help the very limited number of customers. As for the workers, some are struggling majorly with the long hours they are now being asked to work. Some are struggling to keep a happy face on when all they truly want to do is go back home.

Alongside this, we have had the likes of Brexit playing a huge part in our working world. Businesses are not being able to supply vital items to customers due to Brexit and the lack of lorry drivers, meaning supply is slow. But this is putting a huge strain on workers as people will always take their anger out of the store workers. There is nothing anybody can do, everyone is doing what they can to help you.

So, when you are next out shopping, remember not everyone will be coping as well as what their smile shows. So treat them with respect as you never know how much your words may hurt.
