AMS 5629 stainless steel

AMS 5629 stainless steel is a martensitic, precipitation-hardening stainless steel. The alloy offers good strength and toughness combined with excellent corrosion resistance.

It can be age hardened to a high strength level through a single low temperature heat treatment. This makes it an ideal material for components used in corrosive environments that also require high strength and toughness.

It is extensively used in aerospace, medical and industrial applications where strength and resistance to corrosion are key requirements. It is available in a variety of forms, such as bar, wire, sheet, plate and forging stock. The alloy can be machined using conventional tooling and readily welded with either TIG or MIG welding processes.

With excellent workability and formability, ams 5629 stainless steel can be easily machined and fabricated into complex shapes. Its superior corrosion resistance makes it suitable for long-term use in harsh environments. Additionally, its high strength and toughness make it a reliable choice for mission-critical components. All in all, ams 5629 stainless steel is an excellent, versatile material for a wide range of applications.
